On June 1st, we’re celebrating Siddhartha’s 15th Birthday! 🥳

Inspired by nature and preserving the natural beauty of our surrounding area, Siddhartha was designed and created to honor the traditional building materials and style of Bali, with a focus and philosophy of respecting the local culture and being involved with the community – as a fundamental part of our values since day one.

Most of our staff come from the surrounding rural areas and have been with us since we opened our doors. They are the heart and soul of our resort, bringing the beautiful ritual and ceremony that play such a crucial role in daily life here – full of meaning and intention, to everything they do.

Another important pillar for the sustainability of our business is not only providing authentic guest experiences while visiting Bali but also our ongoing commitment to minimizing our environmental impact through various initiatives such as reducing single-use plastic, using ocean-friendly toiletries throughout the property, and developing waste management and recycling systems on-site.

Since we opened in 2009, we have been blessed to host guests from all over the world and share with them the beauty of Bali’s northeast coastline and culture. And we look forward to welcoming you to our little corner of paradise for many years to come.

World Oceans Day- June 8th

First established in 1992, World Oceans Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of our oceans and drive action to protect them.

At Siddhartha, we are proud to join this global movement and continue our commitment to preserving the ocean and its fragile ecosystems through The Kubu Marine Park, launched in 2011. Through this project, we work with the local community to protect the ocean through educational events, beach clean-ups, and the creation of an immense artificial house reef made up of discarded man-made materials and collected broken corals. Today, the reef is thriving with a diverse array of marine life and has become a popular dive site for our guests, just on our doorstep.

International Yoga Day – June 21st

The island of Bali is synonymous with yoga and spirituality, and on June 21st, yogis worldwide unite to celebrate International Yoga Day. Celebrated on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, this day aims to raise awareness of the many benefits that yoga can bring to our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

As part of our wellness offerings, we provide free daily yoga classes in our stunning oceanfront studio. Our classes are led by experienced teachers who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love for this ancient practice. Classes are suitable for beginners to advanced practitioners and are the perfect way to start your day in Bali.
